The Simpsons

No Nudity

Review

In 2009, The Simpsons smoked Gunsmoke to become the longest-running primetime program in television history, and it shows no signs of stopping. The show has become such an intrinsic part of popular culture that we won’t insult you by describing the premise. But we will say that the yellow-skinned inhabitants of Springfield, USA have been on the air since 1987, when “The Simpsons” first appeared in short segments on The Tracey Ullman Show. In 1989, Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie got their own series, and The Simpsons has been winning fans ever since with its satirical take on the American dream.

One of the hallmarks of The Simpsons is its cast of thousands. Some of the sexiest stars in Hollywood history have appeared as guest voices, from Elizabeth Taylor and Kathleen Turner to Halle Berry and Rachel Weisz. Over the years, lovable lump Homer has been beguiled by a number of two-dimensional temptresses, most notably country cutie Lurleen Lumpkin (Beverly D’Angelo) and comely coworker Mindy Simmons (Michelle Pfeiffer). But he always comes home to adoring MILF Marge, played by gravely-voiced Julie Kavner. Marge is such an animated sex symbol that she was the first fictional character to get her own spread in Playboy in 1999. Now there’s even a Simpsons porn parody. D’oh yeah, baby!
