The Red Tent (2014)

The Red Tent (2014) is a television mini-series that aired on TNT in late 2014. The story comes from an obscure part of the book of Genesis in the bible, and follows the story of Dinah (Rebecca Ferguson), the only daughter of Jacob (Iain Glen), who is posited as the first feminist, telling tales of a legendary red tent where women go to wait out their menstrual cycles. No seriously, that's exactly what it's about. Menstruation. Despite recent trends, even on TNT, to inject a little skin into things, with this being a biblical story, they erred on the side of caution! We do get some super sexy looks at Morena Baccarin, Gabrielle Dempsey, and of course Rebecca Ferguson over the course of the mini-series, but that's about it! If only someone would make a biblically accurate flick, replete with all the skin that's actually in that book!
