The Porch

Miss January 1955 proves that there’s nothing quite as nice as spending the summer months outdoors in the bawdy burlesque short The Porch. Directed by Irving Klaw, the celluloid snippet offers an opportunity to sip lemonade, sit out on the porch swing, and gaze at Bettie Page and her cheesecake gal pals as they cavort about in their underwear. The set-up might seem wholesome enough, but Page makes sure that the proceedings are plenty sensuous in a crackly black-and-white clip that’s a cinch to satisfy vintage voyeurs.
