The Long, Hot Summer

This 1965 series, based on the classic film starring Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, which in turn was based on the writings of William Faulkner, continued the story of drifter Ben Quick. Ben arrives in the town of Frenchman's Bend after being kicked out of another town for allegedly burning a barn for revenge. Will Varner, who owns damn near everything in town, hires Ben to work in his store. Will thinks his own son, Jody, lacks ambition and despairs of him getting his slutty wife, Eula, pregnant. Will’s daughter Clara is a spinster schoolmarm, and he fears that she will never get married without his influence. He decides that Ben Quick is just the ticket to marry off Clara and bring some new blood into the family. Legendary 60’s brunette bombshell Lana Wood played town slut Eula Varner. The little sister of Natalie Wood, she got her start at the age of ten, when she starred with her big sister in The Searchers with John Wayne. She grew up to become a gorgeous, voluptuous woman, was a Bond girl in Diamonds are Forever, and got naked in a variety of pictorials and films. In the 1981 horror movie Demon Rage, she had sex with a ghostly entity and showed us her big, fat, sagging, full funbags.
