The Last Winter (2006)

The ecological horror flick The Last Winter (2006) follows a group of oil drillers who are setting up to extract some petroleum from the formerly protected Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. But the oilmen and the environmental watchdogs sent to supervise them soon find themselves experiencing a rash of deaths, equipment failures, and psychological breakdowns as Mother Nature finally unleashes her terrifying power to fight back against humanity’s intrusions. Friday Night Lights star Connie Britton appears but doesn’t take off her clothes. Maybe she’s afraid her hotness will contribute to melting the ice caps.
