Well, obviously he was one of the few people who perceived this production so positively, seeing that the mixture between comedy and drama, singing and dancing, acting and real-life was cancelled after its initial season in 1973. Even an impressive guest list which included Phyllis Diller, Tony Curtis, Diahann Carroll, James Garner, Alice Ghostley, Steve Lawrence, and Rich Little couldn’t change the shows abysmal destiny! Nevertheless the show won an Emmy (for Outstanding Variety Musical Series) and earned Julie Andrews a nomination at the 1973 Golden Globe (for Best TV Actress - Musical/Comedy). Nudity? None.
