The Jewel of the Nile (1985)

Some people just cannot settle into a life of easy living, and thank God for them. Without the chronic malcontents and habitually adventurous, where would characters who populate the romantic action universe of The Jewel of the Nile (1985) ever be found? Remember Jack and Joan, the larger-than-life love interests of Romancing the Stone (1984)? Well, they’ve been together as a couple for a while, but there’s only so much lounging on the yacht before passion wanes and Joan’s interests wander. Naturally she is susceptible to the wiles and hospitality of a sheikh and accepts an invitation to vacation alone with him in his exotic desert kingdom. This is right where the trouble begins. Jack, rather than be angry with Joan’s need for continual rescue, seems quite happy to be swashbuckling again.
