Originally entitled Valerie’s Family, a title change was necessary when Valerie Harper quit (the name change a smart move on the producer’s part). Typical ‘extended family’ sitcom, though Jason Bateman and Edie McClurg earned their share of solid laughs. Too bad there weren’t more of them.
