The Groove Tube (1974)

Great Nudity!

Review

A star-studded cast of comedians lambaste the sterile world of 1970s television advertising in the kooky boob-tube satire The Groove Tube (1974). Chevy Chase, Richard Belzer, and Ken Shapiro join a raft of lesser-known talents for a series of SNL-flavored skits about topics as diverse as Stanley Kubrick sci-fi, hairy apes’ sex lives, grass-eating nature freaks, and more. The comedy’s lack of boundaries also pays dividends when it comes to the fairer sex; Richmond Baier, Rebecca Brooke, and Jennifer Welles certainly use the opportunity to cut loose with their peep-worthy parts.
