The Geena Davis Show

The 2000 pilot preview must have read something like this: “A free-wheeling party planner becomes an overnight mommy after marrying a widower . . . and his two kids!” Yeah, sure, we’ve heard this tune before, right? Right. But did you read the title, fellas? It’s The Geena Davis Show! Which means you’re guaranteed at least twenty-three minutes of Geena Davis every week. I don’t see how that could possibly be considered a bad thing. Toss in a few supporting sex kittens such as Mimi Rogers and Kim Coles (and a few guest spots from the likes of Erika Christensen, Katey Sagal, Lindsay Frost, and Leeza Gibbons) and you’re looking at a show that probably deserved better than a twenty-two-episode run. I mean it’s Geena Davis! Am I right, fellas?
