Celebrated dramatic series from 1961-1965 about a father/son pair of lawyers. Robert Reed and E.G. Marshall play the attorneys quite well and the teleplays were praised for ripping stories direct from the headlines. (Sure, these were the headlines of 1962 but still.) Considered by some one of the true originals of ‘lawyer TV’, The Defenders stands as an early testament to viewers’ obsession with courtroom dramatics.
