Review

Writer Neil Simon gives us The Cheap Detective (1978), a spoof of 1940s detective movies made famous by guys like Humphrey Bogart. As the bumbling, stumbling Lou Peckinpaugh (Peter Falk) makes his way through various cases he encounters babes, forged documents, damn Nazis, and hidden treasure.

We get to encounter Eileen Brennan’s incredible cleavage on more than one occasion. In one scene she is caught in just her nightie which just so happens to be very low cut letting her heaving hangers push out the top. In another scene she attends a party wearing a cocktail dress that cuts some deep cleavage and will have you reaching for the party sausage in your pants. The Cheap Detective may not have any graphic nudity, but this comedy has enough gags and gazongas to have you laughing and moaning with pleasure!
