The Cape

It seems that no profession, regardless of how bland and methodical it may seem, is immune to getting its own ensemble series and The Cape isn’t even the silliest one to come down the pike! The show prattled on for the better part of a season, oblivious to the fact that viewers couldn’t be less interested in what goes on behind closed doors at NASA. Perhaps if they’d stuck to the actual science, we could have had a compelling show. Instead the onus here was on Melrose Place -style affairs, romantic entanglements and blah-blah familial issues. Corbin Bernsen tried hard and Adam Baldwin did the best he could with the limited scripts but the show was doomed from inception.
