The Back Lot Murders (2001)

Great Nudity!

Review

Some would argue that as an art form the music video has ushered in a new mode of creative expression and is the most important media advancement of the past century. Others, however, will cheer with each fresh kill in The Back Lot Murders (2001). This bloody, comic dissection of the contemporary entertainment industry is presented like a “making of the video” documentary, with the added attraction of a homicidal slasher who hides his identity behind an impersonation of Elvis Presley and sets about slicing the life out of one MTV-style big-shot after another. The Back Lot Murders is a great antidote to endless afternoons of three-minute rock and hip-hop operas.
