Review

The fast-paced thriller The Art of War (2000) stars Wesley Snipes as Neil Shaw, a covert  operative working for the United Nations to help secure and maintain peace through espionage, blackmail, and other borderline unethical tactics. When a shipping container packed with dead Vietnamese refugees turns up on the New York docks, Shaw is tasked with finding the culprits responsible for the corpse-filled container. Those in the know suspect that Chinese ambassador Wu (James Hong) is their man, thanks to his nefarious connections to the Chinese Triad, and Shaw is sent to work his magic. But before Shaw can get close enough to his target, Wu is assassinated and he is framed for his death. Figuring he’s been double crossed, Shaw takes off on a bullet-riddled journey to clear his name. Along the way he crosses paths with Julie Fang (Marie Matiko), a sexy piece of ass Chinese translator that has some sort of connection to Wu’s death. While the desperate agent tries to get to the bottom of everything, we get a look at Marie Matiko with her top off. It’s all smoke and mirrors, because the Asian babe is sporting some cock-blocking pasties over her sweet nips, leading us to bang our heads against the wall in frustration, instead of banging one out. Can’t win ‘em all.
