The Adventures of Eliza Fraser (1976)

The eminently porkable Susannah York stars as the titular character in The Adventures of Eliza Fraser (1976), a bodice-ripping Australian flick about an eighteenth-century looker who ends up shipwrecked. She's joined her crabby old sea-captain husband, Noel Ferrier, on a trip, and they're headed back to England . . . but not before they screw around at a penal colony and then end up overboard and captured by aborigines! To her hub's horror, Susanna goes wild on the island, and when they get back to jolly old Britannia, her hijinks become infamous. She tells her tale at county fairs just like the real-life Eliza Fraser, whose antics are the inspiration for this wild and wacky flick.
