Review

In the taut psychological melodrama Terror y encajes negros (1985), a young woman, Isabel, is kept a virtual prisoner in her own home by a domineering, controlling husband. As she plots ways to escape from her confinement, she one day accidentally witnesses the superintendent of her building disposing of a dead body. Thus begins a terrifying ordeal in which she must escape from the clutches of two men. Maribel Guardia’s wedding tackles and perfect dumper are something to see as she sunbathes by the pool.
