Te quiero (2001)

French thieves step off a plane in Peru and set to work trying to unload a fenced diamond in the sexy thriller Te quiero (2001). In addition to being professional partners, Jean (Philippe Bas) and Sylvia (Marine Delterme) are illicit lovers who hide their carnal frenzy from Sylvia’s unsuspecting husband. When the thieves meet a wealthy French couple residing in Lima, they believe they’ve found the perfect buyers for their valuable gem. Instead the affluent couple inducts them into a menacing game of sexual suspicion and violent backstabbing. Because of her character’s voracious sexual appetite, Delterme has the best screen-to-skin ratio here, but co-star Maruschka Detmers holds her own in a quick but memory-burnishing reveal.
