Readers expecting a routine cover on the August 1991 issue of Vanity Fair were in for the mother of all surprises when what turned up atop the magazine was a sumptuous nude photo of Demi Moore who was, herself, very much expecting.
She covered her nipples and pubes, but Demi’s knocked-up semi-nudity rocked more than just the publishing world as millions suddenly realized they had a fetish for preggos, and future stars such as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera would repeat the stunt once they themselves got buns in the oven.
