She was educated in a convent, so it was only a matter of time before London-born Sylvia Syms rebelled. Born on January 6, 1934, in Woolwich, London, England, Sylvia grew up in Well Hall, Eltham, and went on to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London following her convent stay. Sylvia made her stage debut in a production of The Apple Cart in 1954 and earned her first onscreen credits in Terminus (1955), The Romantic Young Lady (1955), and Life with the Lyons (1955). The blonde finally got naughty as a delinquent in My Teenage Daughter (1956). But she really got delinquent in The Desperados (1969), with a skinny-dipping scene that briefly flashed her funbags. As an aside, her daughter, Beatie Edney, is also an actress. The blonde is like dear old mom, having gotten topless in Highlander (1986) and Trouble in Paradise (1989). Sadly, Sylvia only got topless once — all of her other onscreen work has been fully clothed. Some of her later credits include works such as Bouquet of Barbed Wire (2010), Case Histories (2011), Booked Out (2012), Run for Your Wife (2012), A Cake for Mabel (2013), Playhouse Presents (2014), Together (2018), and Gentleman Jack (2019). In addition to her onscreen work, Sylvia has continued appearing on stage in productions such as A Doll's House, Hamlet, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Anthony and Cleopatra, and Ugly Rumors. She may be getting older, but Sylvia remains on the silver screen. It's never too late for another nude shot!
