Sweet Hearts Dance (1988)

The romantic comedy Sweet Hearts Dance (1988) follows Sandra Boon (Susan Sarandon) and hubby Wiley Boon (Don Johnson), childhood sweethearts who have been married for fifteen-years and have three kids. She has grown up, and he hasn't. He and his best friend, Sam (Jeff Daniels), act more like teenagers than adults, despite the fact that Daniels is the president of the local school board and the new teacher at the grade school. During Thanksgiving dinner, husband and wife get into a minor argument that escalates into Wiley leaving the house and moving into a mobile home to try and sort through his midlife crisis. Can the Boons’ marriage survive the boredom and bitterness that always seems to accompany a long marriage? Tune in to find out.
