Summer Rental (1985)

Summer Rental (1985) may not be as well known as John Candy’s other movies — Splash (1984), Brewster’s Millions (1985), Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987), Spaceballs (1987), The Great Outdoors (1988), Uncle Buck (1989), and Only the Lonely (1991) — but it still provides a fun time. The plot begins when stressed-out air traffic controller Jack Chester (Candy) takes a vacation with his wife (Karen Austin) and children (Kerri Green, Joey Lawrence, Aubrey Jene) to Florida. There, he gets into a battle with local blowhard Al Pellet (Richard Crenna). Needless to say, hijinks and mayhem ensue. The movie also includes John Larroquette and the music of Jimmy Buffett. Under the direction of comedian Carl Reiner, Candy brings on the laughs fast and furiously. And with a beach setting, the holiday romp features a lot of ladies donning skimpy swimwear. In fact, Ms. Austin can be seen strutting her stuff in an itsy bitsy teeny weeny bikini! If that’s not hot enough, check out hottie Lois Hamilton. She plays a vixen named Vicki who is so enthralled by her recent boob job that she proudly shows off her big girls to everyone and anyone whether they ask or not. Luckily, that includes all of us watching from home! At the 41-minute mark, Ms. Hamilton whips off her bikini top for Mr. Candy. Sweet! Too bad the camera shoots her from the back. Yet before the cut is made, you can actually see her rack flashed thanks to the slow motion services of Skin-Vision!
