Submission (1976)

The domestic routine and social standing that accompany marriage tend to buffer the inhabitants of that institution from the erotic vicissitudes that life lays on the single perv who is still prowling for arousal and release. But when the betrothed battlements are breached, a deep pool of unrealized passions can be stirred and fired to a molten release. In the Italian production Submission (1976), a middle-class married woman is accosted in an overtly sexual manner by one of her workers, and all conjugal bets are off. She careens down a crazy course of carnal excess that leads to subjugation and predation.
