In Strayed (2003), recently widowed young schoolteacher Odile (Emmanuelle Béart) flees Paris with her family during the Nazi occupation. While she heads south with a group of refugees, a German plane attacks and she and her kin are left shell-shocked and stranded in the woods. Soon the terrorized teacher gets the sex education of her life when a fellow fleer, seventeen-year-old Yvan, helps her to survive and thrive in the forest.
