Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989)

On the heels of the most successful (at the time) Star Trek movie to date, the Leonard Nimoy directed Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986), William Shatner decided it was time for him to take a crack at directing one of these movies with Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989). While enjoying some shore leave, the crew of the Enterprise is called back into action when a hostage situation breaks out on the distant planet of Nimbus III. The mastermind behind this hostage situation is Sybok (Laurence Luckinbill), Spock's half-brother, whose goal was to lure a starship to the planet in order to take it over and travel through the center of the galaxy to the planet known as Sha Ka Ree, where God is said to be residing. Widely regarded as one of the weakest of the six TOS films, this flick does have one thing going for it: A sexy scene where Nichelle Nichols' Uhura strips down to perform a fan dance as a distraction on Nimbus III! Your hand will be boldly going down the front of your pants!
