“Cards get a bad rap sometimes,” Days of the Year.com admits, as Play More Cards Week continues through Sunday.
“And it is true that there are card games that can be very addictive if not kept under control. But cards can also be the source of great entertainment … and playing friends for intimate stakes can turn up the heat and make things more interesting.” So let’s not make any snap judgements …
“The simplest as well as the most fun way to celebrate Play More Cards Week,” Days of the Year advises, “is to, in fact, play more cards. Some people find playing a card game in which you have no partner or team especially fun and challenging, so if you’re a person who values peace and quiet, playing solitaire could prove the most entertaining.” Even if you wind up in the red.
And even if you try to stack the deck.
As one online guide to the most popular variation on the traditional game explains: “Strip Poker can be played either by mixed or single-sex groups.” Our favorite is Ladies’ Night.
“Like other adult or adolescent party games, activities besides {or in addition to} removing clothing while playing cards might be involved.” This girls-only game starts off coyly enough …
… but liquor makes things rise quicker!
And while these three college coeds were the first trio eliminated, those “other activities” alluded to above prove a nice consolation prize back in the dorm room. Guess this is what they mean by the term ‘Hole Card.’
As Days of the Year says about snacking: “You and your friends can simply take a break from the game to fill up on something tasty, then go right back to what you were doing.”
And just how do you do it? Amazingly, WikiHow.com has a 10-page tutorial on ‘Playing Strip Poker’ … starting with the ‘Basics’:
“Do you like poker, but want to raise the stakes?” the helpful how-to begins. “Try a flirty and mature version of the classic card game, one in which adult players can literally lose the shirts off the backs—and maybe more. In Strip Poker players wager items of clothing they are wearing, and by the end of the game several players often end up in their underwear … or even naked.
“Consider deciding how far the game will go and when it will end. Some people might be happy to play until they are completely nude …
… and might even remain unclothed for the rest of the evening and continue competing.”
“Agree on the limits,” WikiHow stresses, “as well as if and how players will stay in the game once they have run out of clothes to shed.” Midwest coed Rebecca was graciously allowed to remain.
“Some people have found a way to play poker without losing their money,” blogger Claire writes on EliteReaders.com. “Ever heard of Strip Poker? Players are required to remove an article of clothing each time they lose a round. Many thus prefer to play it because, well, it doesn’t involve money—plus it has some otherperks, if you know what I mean!”
In other words, even if you’re losing and can’t read your opponent’s poker face …
… you can still grab victory at the last minute if you come up with a strong hand!
Making your poker partner into a stud with no chance of a ‘Flop’!
Though it’s not nearly as easy to bluff in the buff—blushing can be crushing—there are ways to avoided a dreaded ‘tell’ … and all of them are swell! Of course, players can use their hands to disguise things—in multiple ways …
So if you’ve got a strong pair, it might be wise to up the ante.
And see if the guy across the table will be forced to check.
And then all bets are off. Speaking of Czech, when 36D-25-33 Lucy from Prague threw in the cards during a game of Strip Poker with her boyfriend Matt …
… both came out winners! “When she lost,” an observer opined, “Lucy decided to get really frisky in bed, so that the spoils of victory could be shared equally by both players.”
The photographer who took these shots told the model “that she had the most beautiful breasts I’d ever seen, and she was very glad to hear it.” But not as glad as her poke•her partner when “they embraced in a variation of the classic cowgirl position.”
WikiHow not so subtly suggests the likely out•come when it concludes its Strip Poker Basics article by noting: “Keep playing until someone—or perhaps everyone but the winner—is down to their undergarments or, if you prefer, completely naked. Once a winner is declared, let everyone have their clothes back—or keep playing inthe nude for new stakes.”
This college contingent came to a crossroads …
… before the crucial short stack.
After which two lucky winners hit the jackpot with the grinding of hipsbeating a handful of chips!
And the payoff doesn’t require an inside straight.
There’s No Limit to the variations on Strip Poker … but many prefer the amateurs to the pros. As SportsColumn.com made clear: “While we firmly recognize the appeal of naked women, it defeats the purpose when said women already take their clothes off for money. See, the point of Strip Poker is to see chicks naked that you might not see naked otherwise—it’s the girl next door appeal.”
Which makes the first-hand, first-time account of a college junior named Tara so a•peeling. “I certainly didn’t have a complex of lingerie at the party tonight,” the Girl Next Dorm relates in a February 2016 WordPress piece entitled Strip Poker Girl: A True Story. “Under my dress I had a skimpy little black bra and panties and black thigh-high stockings. That was the extent of my ‘stakes.’ I was ill-prepared,” shudders Tara {the hesitant blonde at lower left}.
“I had been sitting in as modest a position as I could manage—my legs together and my arms covering my chest as best I could,” she states after losing several hands. “The roommates hounded me about this until I moved my arms and shifted to a more revealing position.”
Later, during a booze break, “I stopped covering myself and everyone laughed. ‘One hand to go, Tara!’ the crewcut frat guy said, staring pointedly at my little black panties.
“Trying to embarrass me as much as possible, they made a side bet on whether I was trimmed or shaved.”
“I took another drink and picked up my cards,” Tara gulps. “They weren’t horrible, but they weren’t good. I was in danger.” When it came time to call, she lost it all. “I stood up shakily and reached down to my little black panties. Finally I slide them down and let them fall to the floor.”
And then lost some more … up until she was forced to play one final hand — to release The River!
“The game was incredibly embarrassing,” Strip Poker Girl Tara sums up, “and yet I couldn’t deny that I was extremely excited. I had discovered somethingnew within myself.”
