Sports Night

No Nudity

Review

Sports Night is one of the many good shows that ended up being cancelled far earlier than it deserved. That’s quite a shame, especially in this particular case, since it was an ambitious production backed up by a top-notch ensemble cast which included Josh Charles, Peter Krause, Felicity Huffman, Sabrina Lloyd, Brenda Strong, William H. Macy, and Teri Polo. Be that as it may, after only forty-five episodes and two seasons, Sports Night became a victim of fate (and impatient TV executives). Regarding the story, you shouldn’t be misled by the title. The official tagline makes this pretty clear: “It's about sports. The same way Charlie's Angels was about law enforcement.” In fact this comedy series is loosely based on ESPN's nightly news program Sports Center, with the difference being that it also concentrates on the events that occur behind the scenes and as a result provides serious perspectives on sports and sportsmen. The hosts of the show-within-a-show are Dan Rydell (Charles) and Casey McCall (Krause) whose experiences Sports Night focuses on. Nudity? The disease almost all American TV shows suffer from, even good ones like this: nonuditis. Thus you will have to stick to other productions if you want to see the ladies from Sports Night in all their naked glory. For Felicity Huffman’s A-cups and a little bit of butt try out the Showtime series Bedtime, while Brenda Strong’s equally small chest has a guest appearance in the Lorenzo Lamas flick Undercurrent. My personal favorite, however, is the endlessly sexy Teri Polo whose best skin-scenes to date can be found in the 1993 B-thriller Quick. There the brown-eyed blonde reveals her small-nippled mini funbags on two occasions. The second one especially is a must see since it is a very funny and sexy scene featuring Teri and Martin Donovan screwing in a car – make sure to check it out.
