Soul Assassin (2001)

A stylized and moody chiller set largely in the cold and watery European capital of decadence, Amsterdam, Soul Assassin (2001) stretches the cloak-and-revenge genre to encompass issues of identity, destiny and mistaken reality. As the recently appointed head of a personal security firm dedicated to protecting rich, powerful executives in far-off, lawless places, Skeet Ulrich’s skullduggery expertise is put to the test when a fake florist murders his girlfriend. Of course the cops are clueless. Skeet vows to track and avenge the killers, but with every disturbing link to them that he uncovers, the greater his doubts about who he himself is and has become.
