Sophie and the Rising Sun (2016)

Sophie and the Rising Sun (2016) is a drama written and directed by Maggie Greenwald and starring Julianne Nicholson, Takashi Yamaguchi, and Margo Martindale. The film is set in a small town in South Carolina in 1941 and follows an interracial racial love affair blooms between Sophie and Mr. Ohta.
