The collaboration between actor/producer George Clooney and writer/director Steven Soderbergh certainly has been a prosperous one. They won over critics (and Jennifer Lopez) in Out of Sight (1998). With the help of Julia Roberts, they made a mint with Ocean’s Eleven (2001), Ocean’s Twelve (2004), and Ocean’s Thirteen (2007). In addition to this Rat Pack reboot, Clooney and Soderbergh shot Solaris (2002), a remake of Andrei Tarkovsky’s 1972 epic. Like The Good German (2006), it was a box office flop but it did well at the spank bank! Based on Stanisław Lem’s same-named science fiction novel of 1961, the PG-13 pic tells the story of a space station where dreams can be manifested into reality. Being a Hollywood movie, Solaris uses a lot of pricey special effects. Yet the most priceless special effect on the screen is the natural beauty emanating from Rheya (Natascha McElhone). The British model/actress plays the dead wife of Dr. Chris Kelvin (Clooney) who he brings back to life. Suffice it to say, sensual reconnections, assisted suicide, and some gripping scenes follow suit. As for Ms. McElhone’s birthday suit, fast-forward to the 27-minute mark. That’s when the sexy brunette bares her back and butt while getting it on with Clooney. By George, she’s got it! If that’s not arousing enough, Nat flashes her rack. Forget about Lost in Space (1965-1968), these characters are experiencing Lust in Space. Even though their sex scene is very dimly-lit, you should still prepare to get your pocket rocket ready for lift off!
