Author Kurt Vonnegut Jr. knows that war is hell. He spent much of WWII as a POW in Dresden, Germany, site of a massive Allied firebombing. That tragedy was transformed into art in Slaughterhouse-Five (1972), starring Michael Sacks as "Billy Pilgrim," Vonnegut's alter ego. His character is "unstuck in time," which finds him transported from one time to another without any warning. Audiences find themselves stuck to the ex-Playmate that Pilgrim finds himself exhibited with on the planet Tralfamadore. Who wouldn't want to be caged with a wild beast like Valerie Perrine? In three skin scenes, Valerie shows off her voluptuous body, which is Pilgrim's pleasure to fondle. Being unstuck in time makes for some sticky carpet.
