Skinwalkers (2006)

Twelve-year-old Matthew Knight may seem like a typical pre-teener, but things are about to get hairy for this pup in Skinwalkers (2006). Little do Matt or his mom, Rhona Mitra, know, a red moon is on the rise—and that means that his health is about to go to the dogs. As the poor kid gets increasingly sick and Rhona gets increasingly baffled, a pack of people who've been secretly watching over Matt since he was whelped go into action. Seems that he's a half-blood, and when the red moon is full he will transform into a magnificent son of a bitch and gain the pooch power to take control of his whole brood. Until this dog has his day, however, his life is in peril by the paws of a barking-mad pack of renegade werewolves who don't want the puppy prince to ruin their foul, furry fun.
