Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977)

Sinbad is the perfect hero for a children’s action adventure film, and kids of all ages will eat up the mystical and magical mishaps and monstrosities that confront the intrepid voyager in Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977). The special effects may seem quaint by today’s computechtronic standards, but once a caravan of caliphs is swallowed by and trapped inside a gang of animated baboons, and giant troglodytes attack and are beaten back by the brave sailors, and the hidden treasures are uncovered and the witches’ curses are repealed, nostalgia will give way to engrossed delight, and the viewer will be only marginally aware that for a G-rated movie, Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger flashes an awfully gratifying lot of fine female buns.
