Shattered Image (1998)

Great Nudity!

The confusion of identity and self-image, the line that blurs the dream world and walking wake-up time, the vague but vital distances that make linking perception, interpretation and reality so maddeningly difficult, such are the playthings of Shattered Image (1998). At the mercy of director Ral Ruiz’s alternating presentation of security and menace, the character played by sleekly sensational brunette fawn Anne Parillaud fluctuates between trust and paranoia, between relief and terror, between gratitude and suspicion. Only her husband, the stoically ambiguous William Baldwin, knows for sure if she is crazy or only in danger of death.
