knightley edge

We’ve seen British actress Keira Knightey drop her bloomers for some historical hootage in films like The Edge of Love (2009), The Duchess (2008), and Silk (2007), and now she’s taking on the kinky role of a slap-happy psychiatric patient in A Dangerous Method (2011).

Directed by David Cronenberg, who sexplored similarly taboo territory in Videodrome (1983), A Dangerous Method is ostensibly about the relationship between psychology pioneers Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung as they develop their theory of psychoanalysis. That’s all fine, but Skin Central’s raging id is more interested in Keira’s role as Sabina Spielrein, a Russian mental patient whose problems stem from her repressed sexual desires, particularly the desire to be hit by men (yowza!).

Michael Fassbender, as the good Dr. Jung, graciously offers to help Keria with her slapping sickness. His prescription? A good spanking, of course! Think he’ll cure her of her oral fixation, too?
