Searching for Bobby D (2005)

An affably knuckleheaded cadre of New York City actors hatches the perfect scheme to secure financing for their independent feature: They'll cast Robert De Niro in the lead role. Their money-man, of course, happily bankrolls the project with that kind of star power attached. The only problem is that De Niro himself has no idea who these mooks are, let alone that he's supposedly appearing in their movie. So goes the premise of the Italian-American-flavored, good-time-guy comedy Searching for Bobby D (2005). In between all the guffaws and goombahs on hand, don't miss Carmen Electra's scorchingly short-skirted audition for the boys' flick. It's Electra-fying!
