Screwballs (1983)

It’s easy to tell when you’ve met a fellow fan of this great but largely forgotten outside of Canada ’80s teen sex comedy. Just mention strip bowling or the sacred name Purity Busch. After all, anyone who’s seen the film knows that Screwballs (1983) is the essential epic of horny high-school kids stuck in the early 1960s. The young male adults of T&A High, Taft and Adams that is, are dedicated to getting into the pants of Miss Purity Busch (Linda Speciale), renowned as both the hottest girl in school and the only virgin left there. Purity Busch, like pure bush? Man, this flick is big on perfectly fitting names. When a veritable The Breakfast Club (1985) of horndogs end up in detention together, the new guy (Tim Stevenson), the preppy rich kid (Kent Deuters), the cool one (Peter Keleghan), the nerd (Alan Deveau) and the fatty (Jason Warren) realize that if they work together, they can figure out a way to see Purity's perfect pair before years end. From there, it's a The Sandlot (1993) style caper about our rag tag group of peeping Toms trying to bury one of themselves in sand where Purity likes to sunbathe topless, hypnotizing the school's girls to hate their shirts, pretending to be doctors who need to examine boobs for cancer, and a bunch of other zany, rack based hijinks. Can't knock their hustle trying to peep those cans! You don't have to put in anywhere near that much effort to spot some juicy jugs, but, ironically, you can't see Purity's peepers since Miss Speciale used a body double. Screw it, we'll pretend they're hers! Still, as Bootsie Goodhead, again with the fitting names, Linda Shayne presses her pair against a window at the drive-in. Great view! Made us goo! Jennifer Inch could get every inch of our worm seeing her as a topless young girl who falls for the fake doctor bit, and lets a dude examine her tits. Add to that Astrid Brandt as a cheerleader bouncing her bigums and Raven De La Croix unleashing her massive mams at a strip club, and you'll want to screw all the girls in Screwballs!       .
