Review

Safari (1956) is an adventure film from Terence Young, the man who would go on to direct three of the first four James Bond movies! The film follows eccentric millionaire Sir Vincent Brampton (Roland Culver) and his fiancee Linda (Janet Leigh), who hire a jungle survivalist (Victor Mature) to lead them on what he thinks is a safari. As it turns out, however, Brampton is searching for the man who murdered his son, and everyone on this safari will get more than they bargained for! Since this is a film from the infamous Production Code era, there's no actual nudity, but we do get some tantalizing teases from Janet Leigh as she bathes toplessly in a stream, though we only see the tops of her ta-tas! We get even closer at the 1:03 mark when she takes a bath and the shot shows her left breast, though she does appear to be wearing a nipple patch! Even still, it's going to take more than a jungle expert to tame your wild animal!
