Ravishing Rosa Blasi, a former Miss Chicago, was born to parents of Italian, Irish, and Hispanic origin. In her early years, she trained as a mezzo soprano and performed with Piven Performance Company and the esteemed The Second City, starring in musicals and even touring with Kenny Rogers. She got her start in the film world with a recurring role on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful (1996), but after that, the star's success dwindled. For years, Rosa was featured in mere supporting roles on such shows as Married... with Children (1997), High Tide (1996), and Caroline in the City (1998) until she scored a starring gig opposite Janine Turner on the cable series Strong Medicine (2000).
