The most wanted role in Hollywood is Lisbeth Salander, the bisexual heroine of the blockbuster bestseller The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Or, should we say, it was the most wanted role.

After speculation that Juno's Ellen Page and Harry Potter good-girl-grown-up Emma Watson were up for the role, the part of Lisbeth in the David Finscher movie adaptation has gone to Rooney Mara.

Who?

Rooney, the sister of skingy actress Kata Mara, played Nancy in this year's Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) remake and she had a brief but bewitching undie scene in Youth in Revolt (2009). But The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will doubtless be Rooney's big breakout role. And by that, we mean breaking out of her clothes!

Sultry Swede Noomi Rapace played Lisbeth for the Swedish version of the film and its sequel, The Girl Who Played with Fire (2009), and let's hope that Rooney is a stickler for authenticity and wants to recreate the original as accurately as possible, because Noomi bared every luscious, bush-ious, tush-ious inch of her body and went lesbo in both flicks.

Those are some big shoes to fill, Rooney. And the best way to fill the shoes? By getting rid of all the other clothes.
