Roads to Riches (2001)

A graying Hollywood charlatan gets a shot in the arm when a new protégé rolls into town in the glitzy crime thriller Roads to Riches (2001). Fresh from his Oscar-nominated performance in Jackie Brown (1997), Robert Forster stars as Jack Waters, an aging con man who resolves to work behind the scenes on behalf of a criminal in training (Kip Pardue). The pair manages an impressive operation, bilking wealthy targets around L.A., until the junior partner’s girlfriend (Rose McGowan) interrupts their scam in a big way. McGowan’s character is supposed to be a stripper, but she never treats viewers to even a trace of skin. She does, however, find time to tease slavering fans with a bit of cleavage during a billiards game.
