Reign (2013-2017)

The CW original series Reign follows Mary Stuart (Adelaide Kane), better known as Mary Queen of Scots, as she is sent to France at age 15 to marry Prince Francis (Toby Regbo). From 2013 to 2017 viewers watched as Prince Francis's bastard brother Bash (Torrance Coombs) made his move towards the young hottie from Linlithgow, Mary survives all sorts of assassination attempts, Nostradamus nearly sunk the marriage by spitting some quatrains claiming the marriage would lead to Francis' death, Mary battled the House of Bourbon, Francis died, and Mary headed back home to rule Scotland but found a lot changed in her time away. The show plays fast and loose with history as it details the "secret" sexual and political intrigue that was occurring in the French court during that time, and does it all in a very modern and sexy way. For example, Francis is made older, Bash was made up completely, and Nostradamus was significantly older and far less mysteriously handsome when he met Mary than he is on the show. It may not hew close to history, but it's definitely worth checking out for all the sexy intrigue it lays out. Sadly, just about the only thing the show doesn't have, besides historical accuracy, is nudity. Not to reign on your parade, but this one was all undies and under the covers. We do get a sexy look at Caitlin Stasey in bed with her man, but all the best parts are hidden. Celina Sinden wears a bust boosting corset that'll make you think about sinning with her, and Megan Follows and Catherine Berube make out with each other in preparation for a threesome! It's not nudity, but it's still enough for you to get the hots for Mary Queen of Scots in Reign!
