Red Mercury (2005)

As Red Mercury (2005) begins, a trio of terrorists is tinkering with a terrible toy in a London flat. Then they get a call from their buddies at the terrorist tip line, who tell them that the cops are on the way. But before our naughty jihadis can get away, the coppers are swarming high and low, and, with nowhere else to go, the terrible three duck into a restaurant and take everyone hostage. Among their prize prisoners are Stockard Channing, the headstrong restaurant owner, and Ron Silver, an American management consultant with a fondness for political speechifying. While the hostages develop a relationship with their captors, the negotiators and investigators outside are trying to get to the bottom of things.
