Recovery (2007)

Alan Hamilton (David Tennant) and his wife Tricia (Sarah Parish) are about as happy of a couple as you can imagine.  He's a captain of industry in the world of construction and building, she's a beautician and mother to their two children at home.  Then one day Alan decides to head into town with a friend for a couple of libations and on his way home, gets hit by a car, throwing him into a deep coma.  When he finally wakes up, Tricia is pleased to see that he is barely physically injured, but after a while is beginning to notice changes with his mind.  He has lost inhibitions and his demeanor toggles between frustrated and angry to vulnerable and childlike, he can't do the job that made him successful anymore, and she fears that the man she loved is gone forever.  None of the doctors they see can explain his condition and Alan is beset by confusion about whether or not he can be fixed at all and if he is just going to have to live his life with this traumatic brain injury and lose the old version of himself along with his family.  It's hard to see if there is any road to Recovery for this family man.  The stunning Sarah Parish strips down, showing off her boobs and butt a couple of times in this British flick to try and jog her hubbies memory of their love life, but that doesn't even seem to be working for him.
