Rancho Deluxe (1975)

Rancho Deluxe (1975) is a Western, and it’s a comedy, and it tastes great! The story about a couple of cattle rustlers in modern Montana stars Jeff Bridges and Sam Waterson. They’re robbing the herd of ranch owners and former beauty shop owners, played by Elizabeth Ashley and Clifton James. And, of course, our rustlers have their eyes on more than cattle. They’re sweet for Patti D’Arbanville and Maggie Wellman. It’s Patti who shows off her sweets, though, maybe because she’s no stranger to skin having shown a lot over the course of her early career on film. Here she’s in an extended and energetic sex scene with Bridges while under a tree (symbolism?).
