Biography

With appearances on TV series that range from Hannah Montana to Arli$$, Frasier to Fantasy Island, and All My Children to Prodigal Son, it’s entirely possible you’ve seen and admired actress Rachel York at some point in her career. Although the Orlando, Florida, native has stuck pretty closely to the East coast, preferring to spend her time on Broadway, acting, singing, and dancing in such hits and favorites as Victor/Victoria, Les Misérables, and The Scarlet Pimpernel, she’s no stranger to working in front of a camera, as evidenced by her series work. On the big screen, the red-headed, blonde, brunette stunner (depends on the role), gave up the top goods while riding George Segal in the film Taking the Heat (1993), and has stripped down to her sexy skivvies in the flick Terror Tract (2000) with John Ritter, the TV movie Second Honeymoon (2001), and on TV’s Son of the Beach in 2000. Rachel also played a club singer in Billy Bathgate (1991) with Dustin Hoffman and Nicole Kidman, and Liza in One Find Day (1996) with George Clooney and Michelle Pfeiffer. While bitty parts in series have mostly been her thing on television, she has had a few regular gigs, Tina Sweet on Filthy Rich in 2020, and Marie Smith in FBI: Most Wanted in 2020-2021. And she’s scored some pretty big roles in TV movies, like playing Lucille Ball in Lucy (2003), where that red hair comes in handy, and as Norma Cassidy in the little screen version of Victor/Victoria (1995) with Julie Andrews. Stage or screen; red, blonde, or brunette, Mr. Skin isn’t picky about his Rachel York fix, as long as he gets some.
