Race for the Yankee Zephyr (1981)

Way up high in the mountains of New Zealand, deer hunter Ken Wahl and his sot of a sidekick, Donald Pleasance, stumble upon the wreckage of a World War II plane. Among the booty within the wreck are booze, bills, and bullion, and the two buddies realize that they've just hit it big. But before they can cart off the loot, word gets out about their find, and suddenly they're all engaged in a Race for the Yankee Zephyr (1981). Can Ken and Don beat the crooks and get the booty?
