Punchline (1988)

Punchline (1988) is a comedy movie about comedy. Tom Hanks plays a stand-up comedian who just decided to drop out of med school and now finds himself completely broke. The movie follows him and a group of New York comedians struggling to catch their big break, and one of the other comedians is a housewife played by Sally Field. Although she has ambition, she seems to lack a little talent, so Hanks takes her under his tutelage and shows her the ins and outs of comedy. Then a TV station is hosting a comedy night and all the comedians vie for their time to shine. On one occasion Sally can be seen in a furious undressing scene in front of her kids, and we’re treated to some underwear and cleavage. Always nice to see any bit of Sally’s skinsacks!
