Possible Loves (2001)

There's always a significant part of your early 20s when you start to wonder what your romantic life will look like in the future. Will you be married? Or will you still be exploring your passions, totally unsettled? Above all, will you be happy? Those are the musings that Possible Loves (2001) explores, all from the perspective of Carlos as a young man in college. The intial scene of the movie occurs at a movie theater as he waits for his girlfriend Julia (Carolina Ferraz). She is very late, and he begins to wonder if he's been stood up. As he sits in waiting, his mind wanders to his future—shifting the action 15 years into the future. Three of Carlos potential future lives—and lovers—are depicted, one of which involves an unsatisfying marriage and a torrid affair, one exploring a major change in his sexuality, and another depicting no forward progress at all. The best things about exploring three different love lives? All the beautiful women Carlos bones, from the lovely Carolina Ferraz, who bares her bosom when she ties Carlos to a bed, and Luiza Mariani, who gives us a glimpse at her gorgeous underwear-clad body. We don't know what Carlos's future holds, but one thing is for sure: He's going to be pretty satisfied.
