"You want a piece of me?" asks Britney Spears in the second single off her album Blackout, to which we respond, "Did you even have to ask?" It turns out she really didn't—Piece of Me (2007), a synthed-out piece of electro-pop produced by Swede team Bloodshy & Avant, is the record's preach-about-Britney ditty, in which she angrily taunts the paparazzi and declares herself the big cheese. She already knows that the answer is "Yes, yes, a thousand times yes," which may or may not be the problem: Brit spends most of the song in a snit about all the invasive attention she gets. "Don't matter if I step on the scene/Or sneak away to the Philippines/They still gon' put pictures of my derrière in the magazine," she sings. You've got a point about those press weens, Brit, but shots of Spears rear will never be a bad thing.
